My Non Negotiables for Feeling Like My Best Self

Feeling like your best self isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about having a few core habits that always bring you back to yourself. These are my personal non negotiables, the things I come back to when I want to feel grounded, energized, and aligned.

Here are the five things that truly make me feel like my best self.

1. Movement Every Single Day

Movement is a must for me. I go on walks every day and always make sure I’m moving my body in some way.

If I stand still for too long, I genuinely start to feel a little crazy. Movement keeps me clear headed, calm, and connected to myself. It doesn’t have to be intense, it just has to happen.

2. Investing in Supplements I’m Excited to Take

Through and through, I’m a product girl. I love a good product, and I’m not ashamed to say it.

These days, there are so many amazing wellness brands that make taking supplements feel fun and exciting, which actually helps me stay consistent. My top two favourites right now are Cymbiotika and Coconut Cult.

When I’m excited about what I’m taking, it becomes something I look forward to, and it supports me in living my best life.

3. Learning to Say No

Where you put your energy matters.

Saying no is one of the biggest forms of self respect, and it comes with protecting your peace. As a retired people pleaser, I can confidently say that learning to say no to things that don’t serve you opens up an entirely new world of growth.

Every time you say no to something misaligned, you say yes to yourself.

4. Planning Ahead for Things I Buy to Fill My Cup

Like I mentioned earlier, I’m a product girl, and I love to spoil myself from time to time.

But I’ve learned that planning ahead with purchases makes them so much more meaningful. When you buy something intentionally instead of impulsively, you appreciate it more.

It becomes something that truly fills your cup instead of something that disappears in the moment.

5. Becoming Obsessed With Becoming My Best Self

You won’t see growth right away, and that’s the truth.

Becoming your best self is a long game, but it becomes an obsession in the best way. The more you pour into yourself, the more you show up better for others too.

There will always be more to do, more to learn, and more ways to grow, but choosing yourself daily is where the transformation really happens.

These non negotiables aren’t about perfection. They’re about coming back to what makes you feel good, what makes you feel like you.

Movement, boundaries, intention, and a deep commitment to growth, those are the things that keep me feeling like my best self.
