Today I felt an immense amount of stress sitting on my chest. I am someone who tends to overthink and stress about the smallest things, and this wave came out of nowhere. Thankfully, I am marrying the most amazing man who simply called me and listened until I could breathe again. I didn’t know exactly where this stress was coming from, but through conversation and reflection, I realized it was connected to navigating life in my twenties.Your twenties are full of lessons. They teach you patience, resilience, and awareness in ways no one can prepare you for. You learn through experience, through mistakes, through moments that force you to slow down and reevaluate where you are. Your twenties are about patience because they’re about figuring things out as you go. You make plans, change them, start again, and often find yourself back at the drawing board. But every loss, every redirection, is feedback that helps you move forward with more clarity next time. They are also about resilience. These are some of the craziest years because you truly can do anything. Nothing is holding you back except the fear of not knowing how things will turn out. You’ll fall, you’ll question yourself, and you’ll rebuild more times than you can count. But each time, you come back stronger. That’s what makes this decade so defining. And then there’s awareness. The moment you start becoming aware of where you are in life, you’re already halfway to where you want to be. Awareness is power. It gives you the clarity to see what’s working, what’s not, and what needs to change. Just like a team that loses a game and goes back to the drawing board, you get to analyze, adjust, and evolve. Life works the same way. Every experience, even the uncomfortable ones, gives you the opportunity to learn and grow. Your twenties aren’t meant to be perfect. They’re meant to shape you. To challenge you. To teach you that growth happens in waves and that every version of you is preparing for the next one. You are not behind, you are not lost, you are simply becoming who you’re meant to be.
